Bobby Barhey: 27, of Boundary Lane, Welwyn Garden City. Stole washing powder from Co-Op, Hatfield on January 30 and February 24. Stole alcohol from Co-Op, Hatfield on February 25 and March 3. Community order made. Ordered to pay compensation £70.
Josephine Matthews: 52, of Poyders Meadows, Codicote. Stole meat items from Co-Op, Knebworth on May 11, 2020. Fined £80 plus compensation £36, victim services £34 and court costs £85.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant after vehicles were interfered with in Welwyn Garden City

Following an incident of vehicle interference outside a block of flats in Welwyn Garden City, residents are being advised to remain vigilant.
Shortly after midnight on Monday, April 12, police received a report of man allegedly trying car door handles outside Beaumont House in Cole Green Lane and officers immediately attended the area.
A 27-year-old man from Welwyn Garden City was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference and going equipped to steal.
He has been released with no further action

Two men have been charged and remanded after class A drugs were seized in Welwyn Garden City.
Officers stopped a Toyota Prius in Woodhall Parade, Cole Green Lane yesterday, March 4.

A search was carried out and 152 wraps of crack and heroin were seized, along with hundreds of pounds worth of cash.
Two men were subsequently arrested and charged: Ivan Radics, aged 50, of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and driving without insurance and Saeb Aboray, aged 25, of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
