6:15 p.m.: Cole County adds 2 COVID-19 deaths
The Cole County Health Department will now show positive case totals by day, which reflects the date the specimen was collected instead of the date the results were received by the Health Department.
This change will cause a delay in the daily totals being reported for the current day. The county is also no longer reporting active or isolated cases.
There have been 7,787 cases in Cole County, an increase of 6 cases over 24 hours. There have been 270 cases in long-term care facilities.
Six new positive cases were reported Tuesday. In the updated graph below, you can see the number of cases added by specimen collection date for the month of March thus far.
10:10 a.m.: MU Health Care has hundreds of vaccination appointments for Thursday-Sunday
MU Health Care still has hundreds of vaccination appointments available for Thursday through Sunday.Â
First dose appointments are available between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Walsworth Family Columns Club at Faurot Field.
Second dose shots will be scheduled for 21 days later.Â
Vaccine eligibility is open to all Missourians, 16 and older. Patients younger than 18 will need signed parental consent.Â
9:30 a.m.: Audrain County pauses use of Johnson & Johnson vaccine
The Audrain County Health Department says it is pausing use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine following guidance from the state and federal levels.Â

7 p.m.: CPS reports no staff members positive for COVID-19.
The Columbia Public Schools 14-day case rate per 10,000 people is at 9.9.
The updated CPS student tracker shows 33 students in the district currently in quarantine and 6 active student cases.
To break the student cases down:
Elementary schools: 17 quarantined, 1 positive cases, 10 out of 21 schools affected
Middle schools: 9 quarantined, 2 positive case, 5 out of 7 schools affected
High schools: 6 quarantined, 3 positive cases, 3 out of 4 schools affected
Other: 1 quarantined
The district has seen 2,737 quarantined student cases and 644 positive student cases since June 2020.
The updated CPS staff tracker also shows 5 staff members currently in quarantine and no active staff cases. 1 staff member is out due to EFMLA laws.
