Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): ICAR – Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research (DCFR), Bhimtal, in collaboration with the department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, government of Nagaland, conducted trainings and input distributions in Lotsu village under Sanis block and Renthan village under Bhandari block in Wokha district on June 4 and 5. The programme was initiated to improve the livelihood and income generation of the economically backward villagers through fish farming activities, stated a DIPR report. The objective of the programme was to create awareness through training and distribution of fish farming inputs to increase the productivity of the fish farmers. In both the villages, Neitho-o Kuotsu, joint director of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, highlighted the objective of the programme.
