Santa visits Colchester

COLCHESTER Cold weather and a bit of rain didn’t stop Santa Claus from making a stop in Colchester on Friday evening to bring some holiday spirit to families during the holiday season.
At 6 p.m. on Friday evening, members of the Colchester Police Force and Fire Department escorted Claus to the C.A.R.E Food Pantry where he sat inside and greeted families in their cars while his helpers delivered a goodie bag to those who stopped by.
Director of the Colchester Library, Debbie Sullivan coordinated the event and said that it was important for the kids to have some avenue to get out and celebrate this December.
