Cragin Memorial Library to host ‘Gardening for Frogs & Toads’ virtual workshop

Margery Winters from Roaring Brook Nature Center will explain how to make gardens more amphibian-friendly in the virtual workshop “Gardening for Frogs & Toads,” set for 6 p.m. May 27, hosted by Cragin Memorial Library.
A garden filled with the peeps, trills, quacks, or croaks from native frogs and toads is one of the fastest ways to judge the health of the local ecosystem. Participants will learn how to garden to help the amphibian populations in their own yard and beyond.
The program is sponsored by the Colchester Garden Club, Colchester Land Trust and Friends of Cragin Memorial Library.
