COASTGUARD teams have confirmed the suspected unexploded bomb found off the Southend coast was not ordnance. Southend s Coastguard were called to the scene off Bell Wharf in Leigh this morning, but were stood down upon discovery there was no cause for concern.
The suspected ordnance The teams were also called to another suspected report of ordance yesterday, off East Beach in Shoebury. This report was also determined to be a false alarm.

One suspected item was located 350m off of East Beach Shoebury and another suspect item was located 50m off of Bell Wharf in Leigh, reported by walkers in Shoebury and a bait digger in Leigh.
