One person was killed in an early morning crash on New Year’s Day in northeast North Dakota.
Colby Nadeau, 20 of Dunseith, N.D., was driving eastbound on 101st Street Northeast just east of Dunseith around 4:20 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1 when he lost control of the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu LS and entered into a counterclockwise skid, according to an accident report from the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The vehicle crossed into the westbound lane of traffic and entered the north ditch striking a tree. The passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old Krisandra Gillis, also of Dunseith, was ejected and died at the crash scene, according to the NDHP.
