MITCHELL – The White River Tigers advanced to the boys Class B state tournament for the 16th consecutive season with a 71-52 win Tuesday over Waubay/Summit in a SoDak 16 game at the Corn Palace.
Colbe Scott led White River (17-5) with 26 points, including 19 in the first half.
White River’s streak is now the second-longest in the history of South Dakota boys state tournaments, bettered only by Mitchell (19 straight from 1983-2001).
