Kentucky senator wants green incentives extended to block reward miners Tech
A senator in the state of Kentucky has said that incentives aimed at clean energy facilities should be extended to cover eligible block reward mining firms, in a move that could help improve the environmental impact of digital currency mining.
Senator Brandon Smith brought forward the measures in a bill submitted to the state Senate earlier this month, which would work by amending the Energy Independence Act, which has been in force in the state since 2007.
At the time, the bill was introduced to reward organizations with buildings and other facilities that met energy efficiency standards, in order to encourage clean energy in the state.

Morocco central bank exploring digital currency but Bitcoin still banned Business
The central bank of Morocco has reportedly set up a committee to explore the merits and the risks of a digital dirham. The exploratory committee will also study Bitcoin and other digital currencies which are still banned by the Moroccan government.
Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) seems to be gradually changing its stance on digital currencies, local outlet Morocco World News reports. It has charged the new committee with identifying and analyzing the advantages and drawbacks of a digital dirham for the Moroccan economy. BAM further confirmed the committee’s existence to Ledger Insights, clarifying that it was still at a very early stage.
