Tesda to boost coffee farmers’ skills Eireene Jairee Gomez
Nestlé Philippines has partnered with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) for the implementation of progressive Robusta coffee production training program that will provide enterprise-based competency training in coffee farming to aspiring agripreneurs, particularly smallholder farmers and Indigenous Peoples (IP).
The two entities on Tuesday signed a memorandum of agreement on their partnership for Tesda Coffee Production Level II Program and Scholarship.
The Tesda chief, Secretary Isidro Lapeña, said the program will enable farmers and IP coffee growers to produce quality beans that are at par with the standards of Nestlé Philippines.
