Author Rosyln Rothstein tells her compelling true story of the history of seven generations of a Jewish immigrant family and how they were also assisted by HIAS, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. Her stories date from the late 1800s, following her family’s medieval shtetl existence in rural war-torn Belarus, Russia to the modernity of the political scene of 20th century New York City.
