(KPLC) - The first baby of 2021 in Southwest Louisiana was born at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women on Friday morning. Sadie and Cody Lacombe of Iowa introduced their first baby boy into the world at 6:36 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Hayes Lane weighed in a 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and is 19.7 inches long. The new parents say they knew the birth would be special, but they did not expect their baby would be celebrated by all of Southwest Louisiana.
