Sarah & Sebastianâs pint-size jewellery gallery relies on word-of-mouth rather than showy window displays to attract customers.
Located in Baldwin Street, Armadale, a stoneâs throw from the High Street fashion strip, their first Melbourne store is designed by Russell & George in a 50-square-metre space that was formerly a hairdressing salon.
Unusual foil was installed, crushed by hand and applied over a number of layers.

âThe initial concept was more akin to their Sydney stores [the Mosman store was also covered by this writer], sleek and minimal,â says architect Ryan Russell, who, with co-director Byron George, was handed a brief from the owners, Sarah Gittoes and jeweller Robert Sebastian Grynkofki.
