MARIETTA, GA Cobb & Douglas Public Health received the first doses of the coronavirus vaccine last week and began providing vaccinations to staff from the CDPH Marietta campus who chose to be vaccinated, according to a press release from the CDPH.
The coronavirus vaccine will then be administered to district health care personnel on the front-lines of the pandemic, as well as residents of long-term care facilities. As of Dec. 28, more than 125,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and more than 150,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine have been shipped to Georgia, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
