Shashi Kumar being the latest to fall victim. Mr. Kumar said that he got to know of a fake Facebook account in his name on Sunday evening soon after receiving a call from his friend who stated that there was request made for ₹6,000 through that social media account. In a message posted on his Facebook account, Mr. Kumar said, “A fake account with same photo and details created. all be careful. because someone may start requesting to transfer some money. all be alert on such requests.”

Mangaluru: Boat tragedy - Missing nine fishermen not yet found Fri, Apr 16 2021 09:55:53 AM Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP) Mangaluru, Apr 16: Nine out of 14 fishermen on board a fishing boat from Kerala that was engaged in deep sea fishing had gone missing after the boat collided with a cargo ship on Tuesday. Search operations for the missing fishermen continued on Thursday too. Mortal remains of three fishermen were recovered from the ill-fated boat. Out of them, post-mortem of two bodies was performed on Tuesday itself at Wenlock Hospital after which they were sent to Tamil Nadu. The other body was sent to West Bengal via Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Three fishermen died, while two crew members were rescued after the boat Rabah suffered a collision with a merchant ship carrying the Singapore flag mv APL Le Havre at about 2 a.m. about 43 nautical miles west off Mangaluru coast.
