Rain chances will be very different from west to east across the area on Wednesday. Coastal Franklin into the bend will have a wet Wednesday but Walton County will likely see zero rain Wednesday. The upper-level energy will move slowly east on Wednesday and clear the whole area by overnight hours. After the rain clears on Wednesday a streak of really nice weather is on the way. Thursday to next Tuesday will feature temps climbing into the 70s and overnight lows in the 40s and 50s. As we move through the forecast period we will warm so your Easter weekend will see temps in the mid to upper 70s along the coast and low 80s for the inland areas with no rain expected. The nice weather rolls into next week and we will wait for a cold front by the middle of the week.
Hurricane Idalia continued to strengthen this afternoon. At 5 PM EDT,
the center of Idalia was located over the eastern Gulf of Mexico about
280 miles south of Saint Marks Florida. Idalia is moving to the north
