SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - An email sent to parents and staff of Savannah Country Day School creating some criticism on social media. It involves the COVID-19 vaccine.
About 80 staff members at Savannah Country Day School qualified for the Phase 1A group. Coastal Care Partners and Village Walk Pharmacy tell WTOC a school employee reached out to see how these local vaccine providers could help their school staff get vaccinated.
A screenshot of a Savannah Country Day School email has been making the rounds on social media, and it has some questioning how the private school managed to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to about a third of its staffers when vaccine appointments are hard to come by in Chatham County. We are grateful to Coastal Care Partners and Village Walk Pharmacy for providing vaccinations for our faculty and staff. Following CDC guidelines, we are vaccinating our faculty/staff in two waves. The first wave was completed today, the screenshot read.
The screenshot, which was leaked to social media on Friday, was confirmed by an SCDS release.
