The annual Scotiabank and BC SPCA Paws for a Cause event takes place Sunday, Sept.12 at Cottonwood Park.
Join in along with 38 other communities around the province and walk for the animals. Noon registration (adults minimum $25 donation, youth need minimum $10 donation). Pledge forms are at Scotiabank, or register online at spca.bc.ca/walk.
The walk begins at 1 p.m. Just follow the “mewsic” and be entertained with musicians playing at points along your walk. Special events: Join us at noon for registration and get your face painted by one of the artists from Handsome Cabin Boy Tattoo. Youth can check out the art tent sponsored by Two Rivers Art Gallery and make a place mat for their pet. Stay after the walk and join in for doggie games, a doggie cake donated by Dog Gone Bakery, a BBQ lunch and live music featuring Josh Sandu (The Arbitrarys) and Raghu Lokanathan.
