Palm Coast Takes Delivery of $1 Million Ladder Truck That Will Service Whole County

The ladder truck was manufactured in Ocala and delivered on arrived at Station 25 Wednesday evening. (© FlaglerLive) Palm Coast Fire Capt. James Neuenfeldt and Driver-Engineer Mark Davidson drove it in from Ocala, where it was built by E-One, Wednesday evening. It made it to Station 25 off Belle Terre Parkway around 6:30 p.m. Some firefighters on their day off came in to check it out. The Palm Coast City Council learned today that a combination of City Manager Matt Morton’s hiring, salary and other spending freezes, less dire revenue shortfalls associated with the coronavirus pandemic, more-than-expected tax revenue and a significant assist from Covid-related federal aid known as the Cares Act, the city is in a far better financial position today than it projected it would be once the pandemic started and when it prepared its current budget last year.
