Kevin Nishita was on assignment to guard the KRON4 team as they reported on the latest robbery in California on Wednesday when a robber targeting the TV crew shot him.
The two robberies at the Home Deport and Bottega Veneta store are the latest in a series that involve large gangs of thieves raiding high-end retail stores in LA and the San Francisco Bay Area.
The incident took place at Santa Rosa Plaza, about an hour from San Francisco, on Wednesday morning. Four young men entered and grabbed the merch before fleeing the Apple Store.
