10 May 2021 – JVW Ladies team underlined their title credentials with another convincing 5-0 win over Durban Ladies this past Saturday as they maintained their 100 percent record in their maiden SAFA National Women’s League season.
JVW are yet to lose a match and from the look of things, are set to give defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies stiff challenge for the league title. They have so far swept aside any challenge in this early start to the season, sending a chilling warning to other contenders.
Current SNWL champions, Sundowns laboured for most of the 90 minutes but were full value for their 1-0 win over the University of the Western Cape.
SAFA National Women’s League log leaders hoping to continue great run
7 May 2021 – SAFA National Women’s League log leaders and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will be looking to continue their great run this weekend when they host the University of Western Cape at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, Pretoria on Sunday, 9 May 2021.
This match will be broadcast live on SABC 1 and SABC Sport Channel on Openview Channel 124 at 15h00.
The reigning Women’s League champions will be looking for their third consecutive win, and Banyana Banyana co -captain and goalkeeper Andile Dlamini is optimistic of keeping a clean sheet to ensure that second placed JVW Ladies do not overtake them on top of the log.
