emily, great to have you here today. emily: such an honor, always. we rang in 023 together 2023 together, but i was virtual. it s so fun to be together on the couch and, of course, be with all of you today. pete: absolutely. and you know what, if it s a new year, it s a new list of resolutions for will cain. and if you re following him on instagram, he has 20 resolution- emily: 2-0. pete: many about march we re going to do a segment where we check in, but one of those is getting in shape, and you have started a new rowing program. we just did the a little rowing will: yeah, we did. pete: i don t understand it. emily: i had way more fun than you guys did. i love rowing. [laughter] pete: i get it. the aspect of legs and core. but you even said it, will, 45 minutes is a long time to pull on a cord. will: your back will get sore if you re not doing the form right. back to the resolutions, look, you can keep up with them if you want. i have laid out my philosophy, it s volume,
we got our boy, you know what i m sayingsome that s all that matters. we got our boy. the excitement was beautiful. service amazing. it has given us so much energy, to see that boy s face, to see him smile, see him go like this in the camera. it was, it was everything. will: prayers are answered as buffalo bills damar hamlin makes the comeback of a lifetime. now removing his breathing tube and telling his teammates on facetime, quote, love you, boys. our next guest knew damar was a fighter since high school. his high school days. his former high school football coach terry totten joins us now. coach, thank you for being with us. i m sure you ve been close to the situation, if nothing else in your prayers and your thoughts. but i have to ask you, what do you know of damar s situation? have you been able to talk to anybody within the family or any former team a mates that know
did around here, that s for sure. will: i bet he was. he was an incredible leader in the locker room and just an unbelievable player, competitor the, fantastic person. will that s what i wanted to ask you. we only have a few seconds left, but we ve heard how much he s given back to that community, in fact. what kind of guy was damar? is damar? yeah. damar had two goals from his earliest days, one was to play in the national football league. he overcame all those obstacles. but a second, parallel goal and objective was to give back to his community, to the youth with football, to the people who helped him through the system. damar wanted to reach back and pull other kids through. he always availed himself of his time and now his finances and just a fantastic person off the field. will: coach terry totten, thank you so much for coming on fox & friends this morning and leapt us letting us know what kind of guy he was. thanks, guys.
