North-East call for laptops supported by Rotary Club of Hexham

People and businesses are being urged to donate laptops to support struggling families. PEOPLE across the Tyne Valley are being urged to donate laptops in a bid to provide much needed home schooling resources for children. The Rotary Club of Hexham is supporting a North-East initiative which aims to encourage businesses and individuals to part with laptops, PCs, tablets and chargers they no longer require. The devices will be professionally wiped before being distributed, via schools, to families in need. The Laptops for Kids initiative is being fronted by the Northern Powerhouse Partnership, with the support of other organisations, including Northumbrian Water.

Thanks to all who played a part in Remembrance Published: 07:00, 14 December 2020 On behalf of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and Remembrance, as you are all aware both events were cut to the bare minimum due to Covid-19. I would like to thank all who laid wreaths and those who took part in the opening and closing of the Garden of Remembrance. Thanks also to those who took part at the cemetery where the service took place for the civilians who lost their lives during the bombing of Grantham. Grace Knightall.
