By age 40, Burleigh, who had served as city attorney for seven years and would go on to serve 22 years on the bench in Monterey County, considered himself “overworked, overweight, and overdue for a heart attack.” He accepted advice to trade wingtips for running shoes and got moving.
The Shenandoah Coal Cracker 10K will be held Saturday, June 10 at 10 a.m.
There will also be a kids’ fun run and 1.5 mile run/walk, which will begin at 9 a.m.
