BUOY obstacle bother could be looming on the Esplanade after roads bosses refused to move a landmark along the route of a cycle path. Election candidate John Burleigh says a decision not to move the former navigation beacon will create a pinch point for cyclists and pedestrians. He believes it risks potential accidents and could ultimately leave Municipal Buildings chiefs open to insurance claims. Work is well under way to widen the waterfront cycle path but independent Scottish Parliament candidate Mr Burleigh says that the historic 131-year-old buoy will become a dangerous obstacle as a result of not being moved out of the way.
