Terrebonne Superintendent Philip Martin to retire after coming school year Kelly McElroy
Philip Martin says he will miss working to help children the most.
Terrebonne Parish s public schools superintendent for the past 14 years will retire when his contract expires in June 2022. He made the announcement to the School Board last week.
Martin, 69, has served over 40 years in Terrebonne s public school system.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve as superintendent for as long as I have,” Martin said. “It has been very rewarding and enjoyable but there is a time for everything, and after 14 years, it’s time to close one chapter and move to another. I will miss serving the children.”
