Davao to rollout vax for 5 to 11 year olds on Feb. 7

Dr. Michelle Schlosser, spokesperson of the Davao City COVID-19 Task Force (PNA file photo) DAVAO CITY - The Davao City Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Task Force - Vaccination Cluster Team (VCT) will pilot the vaccination rollout for the pediatric group aged 5 to 11 years old on February 7. In a statement Thursday, Dr. Michelle Schlosser, spokesperson of the task force, said they chose the hospitals as the venue for the pilot rollout to ensure that medical care is readily available. "Once there are glitches, we can manage it right away. Once everything is okay, we will then cascade it to our typical vaccination hubs," she said. Schlosser said they are considering having a separate lane for the youngest age group to ensure that the vaccines do not mix with those administered on other category groups. Schlosser clarified that the 5- to 11-year-old children's vaccine dosage is 0.2ml, lower than the standard dosage of 0.3ml for other population age groups. She added that
