Coastal Carolina University President Dr. Michael Benson announced the new Coastal Commitment program at the Friday, Oct. 27 CCU governing board meeting. He told the trustees that the university will invest $1 million in the initiative, which will provide free tuition to students in South Carolina high schools who finish in the top 10% of their graduating class.
