As of 8 p.m. Sunday, 9,000 Hydro Ottawa customers across the city remained without power nine days after the storm hit Ottawa with wind gusts of 190 km/h.
Four of the 20 centres opened in the wake of last Saturday's devastating storm will transition Monday into 'one-stop shops for community support information,' the city says. They'll be open 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and will still provide charging stations, washrooms and showers.
Hydro Ottawa is entering the "last phase" of restoring power to homes and businesses following a devastating storm over a week ago, with the goal to have the grid back on by tonight.
