Habitat receives mittens from Rotary Club of Winona (12/16/2020)
Rotary Club of Winona has generously donated 30 pairs of mittens to Habitat for Humanity Winona-Fillmore Counties in support of the Snow Angels volunteer snow removal program. Volunteers will receive these mittens as a thank you for the important work they will perform in the coming winter months. Best yet, Rotary purchased these cozy mittens locally from Winona ORC.
Snow Angels is a program delivered in partnership by Habitat for Humanity and the Winona Friendship Center. Individuals and families from all over the community are encouraged to sign up to shovel snow! Volunteers will be paired with one older adult for the entire winter season and will shovel for them after each snowfall. Almost 20 volunteers are still needed! If you or someone you know is interested, sign up online at habitatwinona.org/SnowAngels.
