CREEDMOOR â The Rotary Club of South Granville is gathering items to distribute as care packages for senior citizens while they remain at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Granville County Tourism Development Authority Director and Rotary Club President Angela Allen has always placed a great emphasis on ensuring that elderly residents in her region are properly cared for and said that the care packages have been an ideal way for her to continue that objective in a safe and effective manner.
âWeâve participated in several different events pertaining to senior citizens in the Creedmoor area,â Allen said. âWeâve done Christmas parties and a senior prom, but then COVID hit, so last year we took it upon ourselves to deliver care packages to homebound seniors.â
