by Bajan Reporter / May 16th, 2021 The Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) published a provisional calendar for the rest of 2021 to allow competitors time to prepare, while discussions continue with Government bodies to clarify when spectators might return. Having made practical use of the down time caused by the Covid 19 pandemic, the Federation has developed a new web site, which is also launched today. The revised calendar lists 36 events, the first of which ran since May 8 th at the Vaucluse Raceway. Between the opening round of the BRC Autocross Championship at Bushy Park on Saturday, May 15 th and Sunday 12 th December all seven of the island’s organising clubs are intending to run points-scoring events counting towards a 2021 Championship, although some will feature fewer rounds than is customary. Sol Rally put back

Social Share The annual Sol Rally Barbados has been rescheduled for September 25 and 26 due to the continuing effects of the coronavirus pandemic. In announcing the revised dates last weekend, the Barbados Rally Club (BRC), which organises the 24-stage event, also revealed that its sprint and stage rally disciplines would not start until August. The BRC said action will now get underway with a joint event to be run with the Motoring Club of Barbados Inc. (MCBI) on August 21 and 22 while Flow King of the Hill which features four timed runs on a roughly four-kilometre circuit, will be staged on Sunday, September 19.
