PANAMA CITY BEACH As spring breakers begin arriving to the emerald beaches, one popular nightclub will not be on their party list.
Club La Vela definitely will not reopen for Spring Break this year, according to owner Thorsten Pfeffer. He declined to respond to questions about when the nightclub plans to reopen and why it remains closed.
In a past interview, the owners Thorsten and Patrick Pfeffer anticipated the club would make a return this year after having been closed because of damage from Hurricane Michael in 2018 and then a subsequent fire that further disrupted development.
As the club at 8813 Thomas Drive continues to battle with an insurance company regarding storm damage, it also remains unclear if the COVID-19 pandemic has had any impact on the reopening of the largest nightclub in the USA.
