Group One-winning jockey Neil Callan s Hong Kong riding career could be over after authorities suspended his licence with immediate effect on Wednesday.
Callan’s 2020/21 season has come to an abrupt end as a result of an inquiry into his reaction to receiving a three-meeting suspension and a HK$20,000 fine for careless riding in February, according to a report in the South China Morning Post.
The subsequent inquiry led to Hong Kong officials deciding Callan’s current licence to ride in their jurisdiction would be withdrawn.
