The UAE has also announced 3,570 recoveries and 14 deaths in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of deaths in the emirates due to COVID-19 has become 1,055.
The UAE has conducted 185,502 COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours.
Total number of cases reported in the country now stands at 358,583 and total number of recoveries at 343,935.
Abu Dhabi: The UAE on Friday announced the detection 3,552 COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, taking the overall infections in the country to 270,810.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the latest coronavirus patients, all of whom are in a stable condition and receiving the necessary care, were identified after conducting more than 170,694 additional COVID-19 tests among UAE citizens and residents over the past few days.
The virus has also claimed ten more lives in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s fatality tally to 776.
The ministry also announced the full recovery of 3,945 new cases after receiving the necessary treatment, taking that number up to 243,267 of total recovered patients. This means the UAE’s active COVID-19 cases stands at 26,767.
Other locations
The screening centers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain operate from Saturday to Thursday from 8 am to 8 pm, and the Zayed Sports City Center in Abu Dhabi and Asharej in Al Ain receive visitors from 12 noon to 8 pm on Fridays. Screening centers in the Northern Emirates operate seven days a week from 10 am to 8 pm.

Gulf News reported the recognition of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) by the International Hospital Federation’s Beyond the Call of Duty for COVID-19 Programme for its response to the pandemic, along with more than 100 hospitals from 28 countries. The recognition was accorded to MoHAP at a virtual event conducted by the International Hospital Federation (IHF).
