What to eat, drink and wear to enjoy Cheltenham Festival at home this year The horse racing event is about to get underway, but how to celebrate it in style while viewing digitally? Leave Ascot to the lightweights and Aintree to, well, the Lambrini crowd: Cheltenham’s Gloucestershire setting, with prize-winning equestrian estates scattered across the county, means it’s always been a bona fide toff’s go-to.  Hence the steady attendance of royals, year on year. The household’s most fervent horse enthusiast, Princess Anne, lives in a country idyll - Gatcombe Park - a short drive away, and the Queen, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall have been known to place their bets at the famous race course. This year, of course, things are rather different.
