VANCOUVER Fraser Health has opened several drop-in vaccination clinics for residents living in designated COVID-19 hotspots, including two that are accepting people in their 30s. Those 10 hotspots include Whalley, Fleetwood, Port Coquitlam and West Abbotsford. People can enter their postal code on the B.C. government s website to determine if they are eligible for a vaccine based on their neighbourhood. Fraser Health is asking all eligible people to get vaccinated and do not delay, the health authority said in a news release. One of the drop-in clinics is located at 10025 King George Blvd. in North Surrey and is accepting people who are 40 and up and live in a COVID-19 hotspot.
Fraser Health announced three new COVID-19 pop-up vaccination clinics Tuesday afternoon, two of which are offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to people age 30 and up.
The health authority alerted the public to the pop-up clinics seven minutes after they opened. Soon after, a photo shared by Vaccine Hunters Canada suggests the Coquitlam location already had a line.
No appointment is required at pop-up clinics, and the shots are reserved for residents of high-transmission neighbourhoods.
These two locations are now offering walk-in AstraZeneca shots to hotspot residents age 30 and up:

With the federal government announcing vaccine deliveries are back on track following weeks of reduced shipments, the focus in B.C. returns to preparations to inject millions of doses beginning in April.

In late January, in outlining a phased vaccine rollout plan, provincial health officials said 2.6 million doses would be administered from April to June and another six million would be available from July to August. That far outstrips the 800,000 doses expected to be delivered by the end of March.
