Last week ecologists Cilian Roden and Jim Ryan carried out a dive survey of Lough Nahinch which lies a few fields north of Scohaboy Bog SAC outside Cloughjordan.
Tipperary TD Jackie Cahill visited Scohaboy Bog Special Area of Conservation in Cloughjordan last Friday afternoon to find out more about the raised bog restoration programme at the site, which has seen three major State-funded conservation works projects.

People in Cloughjordan and further afield are being asked to give their thoughts on what should be done with the village’s Old Mill.
As part of an ongoing feasibility study into the restoration of the historic mill, a community survey is taking place this month to find out what people would like to see in the building.
Group Organiser of the Mill Project, Helen Costello, is pleased with the feedback they’ve received so far.
She’s encouraging people around Cloughjordan and Tipperary in general to give their thoughts:

A feasability study is to get underway next week to explore the potential restoration of a historic mill in north Tipperary.
The Old Mill in the middle of Cloughjordan village has fallen into disrepair since it went out of use in the early 70s, and has gone through multiple owners in previous decades.
However, a local group has secured LEADER funding to carry out a feasibility study in the first half of this year.
It’s hoped that the Old Mill will be restored and adapted for use as a community and creative arts hub.
