In December, we announced the beta of Cloudflare Pages: a fast, secure, and free way for frontend developers to build, host, and collaborate on Jamstack sites.
It’s been incredible to see what happens when you put a powerful tool in developers’ hands. In just a few months of beta, thousands of developers have deployed over ten thousand projects, reaching millions of people around the world.
Today, we’re excited to announce that Cloudflare Pages is now available for anyone and ready for your production needs. We’re also excited to show off some of the new features we’ve been working on over the course of the beta, including: web analytics, built in redirects, protected previews, live previews, and optimized images (oh, my!). Lastly, we’ll give you a sneak peek into what we ll be working on next to make Cloudflare Pages your go-to platform for deploying not just static sites, but full-stack applications.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated spending on cloud computing, automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning and Microsoft and Amazon Web Services appear to be big winners. In a recent survey, 61% of respondents said they would increase spending on Microsoft Azure in 2021 and 54% planned to increase spending on AWS.
Cloudflare picks up web development startup Linc to boost expansion strategy

Cloudflare Inc. today said that it has acquired Bitgenics Pty Ltd., better known as Linc, an Australian startup with technology for simplifying the development of web applications.
The deal’s size was not disclosed. It’s aimed at advancing Cloudflare’s recent efforts to expand in the web application market, where the company is already a major player thanks to its popular content delivery network for delivering webpages to users.
A big part of building an online service is the frontend development process, or the part of a project that involves crafting the user interface. It’s a complex task that is often performed by multiple developers, or even multiple teams, working side-by-side. Linc has built a platform that makes it easier for those teams to collaborate.

US web infrastructure firm Cloudflare has devised its own tool that lets web developers build and host websites.
Taking advantage of the company’s global infrastructure network, Cloudflare Pages is a hosting service that supports platforms built directly on the edge using the JAMstack architecture.
The firm has described this as “the next breakthrough in the web performance battle” due to the way it takes advantage of edge computing, with Cloudflare claiming performance will be almost twice as fast as other platforms.
Beyond this, Cloudflare also suggests its Pages service will be secure and scalable, saving developers time on integrated disparate systems, as well as benefitting from seamless GitHub integration to ease the development process.
