Notably, private school students outperformed their government school counterparts in both Kashmir and Jammu regions, with pass rates of 93.86% and 89.15% respectively, compared to 79.83% and 65.99%. The private education sector, thriving in Jammu and Kashmir, faces challenges including fee regulation and government orders affecting school operations, like SO 177. Concerns have arisen regarding BOSE's directive for private schools to use BOSE-published textbooks, sparking resistance from schools and booksellers. Amidst these issues, stakeholders seek intervention from authorities, hoping for resolutions that safeguard the interests of the education sector.
