A COMMUNITY CAFE was re-launched with a new look last week - coming ‘back to life’ after being closed for so long due to the the Covid-19 lockdowns. The Llandegla Community Shop team recently received a grant from the Clocaenog Wind Farm Recovery Fund which allowed for the refurbishment of its cafe. The shop itself has remained open throughout the pandemic, with staff and volunteers making countless deliveries of food, prescriptions and more to members of the community. But the cafe was re-opened on Monday, May 17 and was buzzing with customers throughout the day - having been made Covid safe thanks to its funding.
THE surface at Denbigh Town Football Club s home ground is taking shape after undergoing an extensive makeover during the last few weeks. Central Park may not have seen any footballing action over the last year and a bit, but that has not stopped the club from working behind the scenes there. Denbigh Town will play in the newly-formed Ardal North West League (tier three) when football returns. The club is currently carrying out work on its home ground to replace the current drainage and install a sprinkler system serviced by the club s very own bore hole. Club officials hope they can play home matches there as soon as August.
