Halton Hospital WARRINGTON’S bid for a new hospital has a ‘window of opportunity’. Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s director of strategy and partnerships, Lucy Gardner, updated Warrington Borough Council s health scrutiny committee during its virtual meeting on Thursday. One slide shown to councillors highlighted the ‘window of opportunity’ and stated ‘we find ourselves at a critical point in time’ in terms of opportunities around development and funding. Ms Gardner confirmed the vision is for the provision of hospital services in a fit for purpose estate, along with releasing land to support regeneration and ensuring interconnectivity with education and employment, as well as health and social care.
