Car cruises and boozy mass gatherings to be banned at Warwickshire lakes Published: 07:13, 06 March 2021
AN order banning car cruising, drug taking and drinking alcohol could be introduced to tackle ongoing concerns about anti-social behaviour around Earlswood Lakes.
Stratford District Council, with support from Warwickshire Police, is considering introducing a three-year Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) following what it describes as âan increasing number of reports regarding criminal and anti-social behaviourâ.
The order would give police additional powers to tackle issues, which have included the use of nitrous oxide, car cruising, groups causing intimidation, harassment and anti-social behaviour caused by alcohol consumption.

During his time on the council he also served on a number of committees before becoming deputy leader in 2004. Mr Topham took over the leadership in 2005, following the resignation of Chris Saint and helped drive the improvements across the council. Born in Birmingham, he spent most of his career at British Leyland, before running the Les Topham Garden Centre in Mappleborough Green near Studley.
