Lack of internet and computer access is hampering people from knowing when a property has become available on the Choice Based Lettings (CBL) housing list accor.
A local councillor had branded Ardee s pedestrian crossings out of date and he s concerned that someone will be killed using them before firm action is taken.
Cllr Jim Tenanty says that the crossings are a nightmare after dark and new LED lights have only added to the problem. There have been a lot of close calls, he stated.
He said a crossing at the council offices had been out of order for months.
A funding application had been made in August and the council are still waiting for a response.
Cllr Dolores Minogue said that crossings were not as safe as they appeared to be and she backed Cllr Tenanty s concerns.
