DEESIDE dog walkers are being urged to clear up after their pets following a considerable increase in dog fouling. Local representatives Jack Sargeant MS and Shotton Cllr Sean Bibby are calling for dog owners to make sure they clear up after their pets following complaints from residents. In particular, dog fouling around Shotton has increased considerably recently. Dog fouling is not only deeply unpleasant it is also dangerous and can spread disease . Those caught failing to pick up after their dog can face a £100 fixed penalty fine. Jack Sargeant MS for Alyn and Deeside said: We understand that during lockdown people are spending more time outside, however each of us have a responsibility to keep our local area a place we can all enjoy by clearing up after our dogs.
