Shoppers returning to the city centre next month will be forced to pay £2.80 an hour for the pleasure of using Canterburyâs main car parks, it has been confirmed.
The 70p rise was one of a number of revenue-boosting measures signed off in the city councilâs annual budget last week.
Users of Pound Lane car park will be met with a price increase from April 1
It means, from April 1, hourly rates in Watling Street and Queningate - the two car parks deemed the most in-demand - will be fixed just shy of £3.
