The need for support for the restoration and preservation of Knocklofty House, Grange, Tipperary was raised in the Seanad this morning, under Commencement Matters. Senator Garret Ahearn raised the matter with Malcolm Noonan, Minister of State.
The matter is also on the agenda for Monday’s Meeting of the Tipperary-Cashel-Cahir Municipal District when Cllr Mairin McGrath’s motion is up for discussion. The motion calls on Tipperary Planning Authority to take necessary and immediate steps to save the historical Knocklofty House, and 18th century protected structure of architectural, artistic, historical and social significance, and to work with other relevant authorities to ensure the restoration of its character.
