MATERNITY HUB:Praise for maternity hub PRAISE has been heaped on the new hub by those who attended the celebratory launch. Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr David Greenhalgh said: “I think this is such a step forward, it shows the great partnership working that is going on across the whole sectors, there is nothing more important than health as we all know. “This is hugely important making that connection with ladies in the community to feel there is an approachable accessible service for them, which is tailored for them and I think it is fantastic. “Everyone should be very proud that they have all worked together to create this.”

UNION: Campaign for workers BOLTON trade unionists will join a global minute’s silence next week to commemorate those that have been killed or suffered life-changing injuries at work - and vow to ‘remember the dead but fight for the living’. The commemoration will take place in Bolton town centre on April 28 where trade unionists from the TUC, UNISON and GMB will be accompanied by the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Linda Thomas and Bolton MP Yasmin Qureshi. They will stand in a minute’s silent reflection before laying wreaths to commemorate those workers lost and injured in the last year.
