House in Cornwall breaches so many conditions in Marazion

Planning permission was first granted for the property and annexe in North Street in Marazion in 2018. When the plans were approved a number of conditions were put on the permission to ensure that the house was suitable for the location, which is near some Grade II listed buildings. However when the property was built the developers removed a wall that was supposed to be retained, added decking which had not been approved, used the wrong type of windows and added elements which were not on the original plans. After the breaches were reported to the council planning officers approached the homeowners and it was decided that a new planning application would have to be submitted to either approve the altered plans or rectify them.

Cornwall planning decision on Kergilliack 133 homes near Falmouth

Picture from file: Getty Images A development of 133 homes near Falmouth has been granted planning permission despite concerns about plans to narrow a road to create a new footpath. Barratt David Wilson Homes had applied for full permission to build the new homes on land off Hillhead Road in Budock. The application went before Cornwall Council’s west sub-area planning committee yesterday for a third time after it was deferred twice by councillors who were concerned about proposals to narrow Kergilliack Road to allow for a new footpath which would serve the development.
