Cllr Angela Feeney was speaking on a request by a number of councillors for information on school capacity at Kildare County Council’s plenary meeting on January 25. Cllr Feeney said 27% of the population of north Kildare was under 18 and school places needed to be built for all the new and planned housing.

Councillors were told that a certification issue had arisen. At the Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting held online on January 8, Cllr Angela Feeney asked council officials if they could confirm when the public lights installed three years ago along the  Canal in Maynooth from the Bond Bridge side to the Harbour will be turned on in the  interest of public safety.

€3.5 million funding for new Maynooth fire station Funding move opens way for a community centre to be build on current fire station site says Cllr Angela Feeney Reporter: );   ); A €3.5 million fund is to be allocated for a new Maynooth Fire Service station to be built by 2022.  A new fire appliance will also be received in the county during the five year plan. The new station will be located behind Lidl at Carton Court.   Cllr Angela  Feeney welcomed the news and said a community centre for Maynooth could be placed at  the ecurrent station site. In  January, 2019, she proposed that  a community centre  be placed at the old site as it is an ideal location and could incorporate a much needed community crèche.
